November 2009 .......Nov 2009: News ...On the 17th of Nov 2009 AAI (a Textron company) and Carter Aviation Industries announced a joint agreement for Slowed Rotor/Compound technology.This agreement has been under discussion for a long time and is a turning point for CAT. In a nutshell AAI are funding CAT to produce several CarterCopters using SR/C and other CAT technologies. The agreement will then extend to AAI having the rights to use the technology to develop their own range of CarterCopters for UAV applications worldwide. The agreement will have CAT receiving royalties for the use of the technology for 40 years. The rights will be exclusive to AAI for UAV applications.
Press Release from AAI June 2005 .......June 2005: News ...In June 2005 - The CCTD succesfully flew at Mu 1 This was an historic 1st for a craft that uses a rotor. No other rotor craft has achieved this.
