Moller Skycar Website

NOTICE 06Apr2000: This note is to acknowledge that this web site has been giving Moller a hard time because of accumulated scepticism over the sincerity of his Skycar project. It first appeared in Popular Mechanics in Jan 1991.
Whilst time will tell, We intend adding a lot of additional info here that adds to the Moller story and perhaps paints him and the Skycar project in a much kinder light...... standby ...

PRE 06Apr2000:
We have been hearing about the Moller 'Volantor' Skycar for some years now. The main issue with it at the moment is that nobody has seen anything beyond a mock-up but that appears set to change, perhaps this year.

Moller has attracted some criticism for publicising the craft, but never producing a serious photo or demo of any variants of the M400, in the air. For at least 3 years, visitors to the Moller site have been told "a test flight will be conducted soon". There have also been doubts about the engines.

Anyone involved in developing new concepts knows these things take time. But, most people claiming to have achieved some significant breakthrough will provide some form of evidence. The risk Moller has taken is to sell the idea and concept well in advance of the technology being available to achieve the goals.

We look forward to when the Skycar400 does what Moller says backed by some serious evidence. We will congratulate him and his company on our website.
